Welcome to Hofmanns of Wakefield.
Hofmann’s is a family run business based in Wakefield West Yorkshire, providing Award Winning Pork Pies, Speciality Pies, Cooked Meat Products, Competition Winning Sausages, Bread and Confectionery Products. We have four retail shops throughout the Wakefield District.
All our products are made to family recipes, handed down over the generations and we take pride in producing only quality products by using good quality, fresh, locally sourced ingredients. All our meats are locally sourced from Yorkshire farmers ensuring full traceability.
All our shops have on-site hot food facilities. This enables us to serve freshly cooked meat products to our customers to “eat on the hoof”. We are renowned for our “famous carvery sandwiches” - Hot Roast Beef & Onions in Gravy and Hot Roast Pork, Stuffing & Apple Sauce. Our sausage and bacon sandwiches are also known locally and are available throughout the day, along with our delicious champion winning meat pies and jacket potatoes with tasty fillings
We also supply wholesale to schools, nurseries, butchers and other sandwich shops and have a delivery service available daily.
Our friendly staff are always happy to help and meet your special requests if required, as well as informing you about our products and will go that extra step to make every visit to Hofmanns bakeries and butchers a welcomoming one
The Hofmann Way
Our Family of Butchers and Bakers and more recently became sandwich makers too. Originally established with the first butchers shop on Westgate Wakefield opening it's doors in 1896. Hofmanns is proud of it's multi award winning pies, pasties and sausages. Pork pies are all about the taste - natural flavours with the subtle mix of meat, herbs along with crispy pastry and the all important jelly.
Only Hand Made is good enough for the Hofmann's butchers bakers and sandwich makers.
Our pies are not processed, they are all hand crafted. All of our pies and pasties are handmade from scratch by our pie makers who follow the Hofmann's traditional methods for us.
Nothing else is good enough. We are that consistent in our methods and that is why we are still here since 1896.
We also offer a full range of hand made confectionery which is all baked fresh daily, in our confectionery bakery.
